Mounsey Chartered Surveyors has been proudly acting as joint agent on The Goods Yard, a landmark mixed-use development delivered by Capital & Centric in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. Strategically positioned adjacent to Stoke train station, the development represents a major step forward in the regeneration of the city.
Appointed by Capital & Centric at the pre-construction stage, Mounsey Chartered Surveyors played a key role in bringing forward the commercial element of the scheme, which sits alongside 174 new homes within a multi-storey residential building.
The commercial offering spanned 30,000 sq. ft and included 4,600 sq. ft of newly built food and beverage (F&B) space and 6,600 sq. ft of modern office space. A further 15,000 sq. ft was created through the transformation of the historic Vault Warehouse, complemented by the conversion of the Victorian Signal Box, which provides an additional 2,750 sq. ft suitable for either F&B or office use.
The Goods Yard was supported by £16 million in Levelling Up Funding and is the first development in the area to reach completion under this initiative.
Commercial interest was strong during our pre completion instruction with two tenants secured. Avison Young is set to occupy The Pavilion, taking 7,957 sq. ft, while Zumuku Editions have taken 1,650 sq. ft in Unit B. Both tenants are currently undertaking fit-out works.
With ongoing demand for the remaining commercial spaces directly with Capital and Centric, The Goods Yard is proving to be a significant success story in Stoke-on-Trent’s regeneration journey.
